Metaphysical Musings from Ron & Susan Scolastico
Everyone these days is worrying about the downturn in the economy. In the February Study Group Reading by the Guides through Ron Scolastico, a subscriber asks about prosperity and the economy. As I listened to the Guides’ answer, I was inspired to make some notes about five factors of spiritual abundance and stability.
1. Fear - First and foremost, address the fears. What are your worst fears? As the Guides say, wallow in them, talk about them, and then release them.
2. Facts - Assess the truth of your life. What is your current situation factually? Do you have a job? Do you need a job? Do you have resources? Can you continue to work beyond retirement if you want to? Separate the fears from the facts.
3. Focus - Plan your next steps. If you need help, reach out to your friends and allies. What will you do today, tomorrow? What can you do to enhance what you already do? Where can you cut back? How can you be creative? If you do not need to make any changes to your own financial situation, where and how could you help someone else in need?
4. Faith - Here is where you use the spiritual tools at your disposal and tell yourself the higher truths. Use whatever affirmative statements inspire you, such as: “I am an eternal soul, temporarily living a human life. Nothing can damage my being.” Another one I like is: “God is my source and my supply.” Turn your attention to the beauty of nature, or to people you love to soothe your heart.
5. Future - Begin to envision what you want to see in your own personal life and in the world. This is a time of reassessing what true wealth means. Refuse to participate in the mass “negative hypnosis” that the Guides speak about in the Study Group answer. Develop a feeling of expansiveness rather than contraction. Spend from your boundless inner wealth, sharing your love and yourself with others.
And always remember to put one foot in front of the other and take the practical action steps that are needed to manage and maintain your life in the physical world.

Ron & Susan:
I have been using the above styled information on number 4 & 5 from a reading/session I did with Ron some time ago.
It has helped me deal with the enormity of something that is just so much bigger than myself, it is up to ALL of us to share it back with our God….and know that indeed we are ALL one.
All the best,
Courtney

Listened to the Guides response to the economic downturn. A bit of an oversimplification to call it “just fear”. More like a 44% reduction in financial wealth and a 35% reduction in home values followed by $9.5 Trillion in total government spending which will likely cause strong inflation and higher taxes for at least a decade…..

Thank you for commenting. I think you are referring to an answer in this month’s Study Group Reading. It does sound like simplification, but it is only a piece of the puzzle. They have spoken about the economy as a result of greed, and fear in the larger sense of the word–fear of loss of pleasure, fear of not having enough, which causes greed, which causes manipulation of the many by the few which causes the results that you have so clearly listed. Once these events occur, most of us can do nothing about them. The Guides aren’t teaching about the economy as such. They are trying to teach us how to manage our inner life in the face of challenging outer events. There is little we can do about our government, but a lot we can do about our own personal lives.

Of course a more positive view of the economy would be the fullfillment of desire, which in a spiritual context is the purpose of life on earth. Otherwise why would we be here?

Thanks for the brief notes from the reading. It has become continually more impacting to be “in my spiritual space” and coming from a place of strength, vigilance, compassion and patience. My daily attunements are sometimes needed twice a day to maintain. I like to surround myself with every influence that reminds me to stay in the state of gratitude. If we remember the law of attraction, what we send out is a mirror to what we see coming back, the responsibility has never been greater than now to take charge of our inner well being, which like a compass seems to need constant balancing. Thanks Susan and Ron and the Guides for being beacons of peace in this world.
